<div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Tropical storm Ramil, with international name Fengshen, dumped more than a month’s worth of rain in two stations in Visayas, data from the state weather bureau PAGASA showed.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/10/19/ramil-now-over-manila-bay-signal-no-2-up-over-parts-of-metro-manila-1159">Ramil now over Manila Bay; Signal No. 2 up over parts of Metro Manila</a></div><p>In 24 hours, between 8 a.m. of October 18 to 8 a.m. of October 19, Guiuan, Eastern Samar received 400.7 millimeters (mm) of rain, or 400 liters of water dumped in one by one square meter areas across the entire town.</p><p>This is equivalent to a month and a half’s worth of rain in the municipality for the month of October.</p><p>In Roxas City, Capiz, Ramil brought 365.5 mm precipitation – equivalent to a month and a week’s rain in October in the city.</p><p>The figures are now the highest 24-hour rainfall record in October for each of the localities.</p><p>Flooding incidents occurred in some parts of MIMAROPA and Visayas during the passage of Ramil.</p><p>Based on official data from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Sunday evening, two persons have been reported dead with two other missing from the onslaught of the storm.</p><p>In Pitogo, Quezon, five family members died after a large buli tree fell onto their nipa hut Sunday morning.</p><p>Ramil, which formed over the Philippine Sea early Friday morning, made four landfalls during its passage:</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>October 18</strong></div><p>• 4:10 p.m. Gubat, Sorsogon</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>October 19</strong></div><p>• 3:00 a.m. Alabat, Quezon</p><p>• 7:30 a.m. Mauban, Quezon</p><p>• 12:30 p.m. Samal, Bataan</p><div><br/></div><p>The tropical storm exited the Philippine area of responsibility Monday morning.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/W5I7qhN46vc?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
