<p>MANILA (UPDATED) - Another tropical cyclone that may intensify into a super typhoon is developing east of the Philippines.</p><p>The weather disturbance, which has become a tropical depression, may pack maximum winds of 203 kilometers per hour and gusts reaching 250 kph by Sunday  over the Philippine Sea, according to the <a href="https://www.metoc.navy.mil/jtwc/products/wp3225prog.txt">US Joint Typhoon Warning Center.</a></p><p>Philippine state weather bureau PAGASA, in an advisory Tuesday night, said the tropical cyclone may enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Friday night or Saturday. </p><p>Once inside the PAR, it will be given the domestic name &quot;Uwan&quot;.</p><p>At 10 p.m. Tuesday, it was located 1,690 km east of northeastern Mindanao and is not yet affecting the country.</p><p>The tropical depression was currently packing winds of 55 kph with gusts up to 70 kph.</p><p>&quot;In terms of intensity, this TC is forecast to intensify while over the Philippine Sea throughout the forecast period. It may eventually reach typhoon category on Thursday (06 November) and super typhoon during the weekend,&quot; PAGASA said in an advisory.</p><p>It added that Uwan may make landfall over Northern Luzon, but the exact location and time of landfall remains uncertain.</p><p>Th US JTWC, in its latest forecast Tuesday night, said the tropical cyclone is expected to continue to consolidate and intensify as it tracks towards the northern Philippines.</p><p>&quot;In terms of intensity, (the tropical depression) is expected to reach typhoon level maximum winds within the next 48 hours and continue strengthening utilizing favorable environment,&quot; the JTWC advisory added.</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/J6KJzgcY58A??si=pz4rbhXIzLAnWV9D&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
