Sebaste MDRRMO</span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Local authorities on Monday surveyed the damage left by heavy rains from the habagat enhanced by tropical cyclone Crising. </p><p>In Cagayan, where Crising passed close, the provincial disaster office pegged the agricultural damage at P17 million, with some 3,000 hectares of rice and cord fields affected.</p><p>Residents In Buguey town were forced to prematurely harvest some 20 metric tons of malaga fish worth P5 million. The local government unit bought the “forced harvest” and distributed them to the residents affected by Crising, particularly the vulnerable sectors of indigents, farmers and fisherfolk.</p><p>In total, more than 2,000 families or 7,000 individuals were affected by the typhoon in Cagayan.</p><p>Meanwhile, part of a dock in San Francisco, Southern Leyte collapsed after Crising brought heavy waves in the past couple of days.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/21/la-mesa-dam-nears-spilling-level-ipo-dam-releases-water-1025">La Mesa Dam nears spilling level; Ipo Dam releases water</a></div><p>A video provided by Rey Ryan Omabe showed visible cracks in parts of the dock caused by the typhoon.</p><p>The San Francisco local government unit is still verifying the amount of damage.</p><p>In Antique, three individuals were injured following a landslide. </p><p>The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council recorded at least <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/21/5-dead-due-to-habagat-crising-ndrrmc-0831">five deaths</a> as of 8 a.m. of July 21, three from Northern Mindanao, and one each from Davao and Caraga regions.</p><p>Weather bureau PAGASA said habagat would continue to <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/21/habagat-to-stir-more-rains-lpa-spotted-off-luzon-0932">bring rains</a> in the country, while another low pressure area was located off Luzon. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/20/expect-another-wet-and-rainy-week-possibly-another-storm-2144">Expect another wet and rainy week, possibly another storm</a></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div style="text-align:center"><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GaolfBexDAo?si=4KgPdnbY2FaPLhWd" title="YouTube video player" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><br/></div>
