<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1753086297636viber_image_2025-07-21_16-14-43-813.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div>MANILA — PAGASA said Monday it was monitoring two low pressure areas inside the Philippine area of responsibility. As of 2 p.m., both LPAs had a “medium” potential to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau said. It said the first LPA, which formed Sunday evening, was located 1,220 km east of southeastern Luzon.The second LPA, which developed Monday afternoon, was spotted 405 km east of Calayan, Cagayan.PAGASA previously said there was  a high probability of a tropical cyclone forming over the Philippine Sea within the week of July 21 to 27.It will be assigned the local name Dante and may enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat. Last week, heavy rains from the habagat enhanced by tropical cyclone Crising unleashed <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/21/list-flooded-roads-in-metro-manila-on-july-21-monday-1238">floods</a> and landslides, leaving<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/7/21/5-dead-due-to-habagat-crising-ndrrmc-0831"> at least five people dead.</a><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/7/20/-walangpasok-class-suspensions-on-monday-july-21-2001">Palace suspends gov’t work, classes in Metro Manila, other areas</a></div>
