'Bising' intensifies further as it re-enters PAR

MANILA (UPDATED) -- Typhoon Bising (international name: Danas) has intensified further as it re-entered the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

"Bising" re-entered PAR at 11:00 p.m. on Sunday.

It now packs winds of 150 kph, with gusts of up to 185 kph.

Wind signal no. 1 remains in effect in Batanes, where gusty conditions, very rough seas, and heavy rains will be experienced.

At 10 p.m. Sunday, Bising was located 335 km northwest of Itbayat, Batanes, outside the PAR. It is moving northeastward at 20 kph.

After re-entering PAR, Bising is expected to traverse Taiwan northeastward, and exit again by Monday morning.

The southwest monsoon may still bring moderate to heavy rains over parts of Ilocos Region and Central Luzon through Tuesday afternoon. 

Flooding and landslides remain likely in these areas.
