<p>MANILA — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said it is grateful that La Salle Green Hills in Mandaluyong deployed security personnel to help manage traffic on Ortigas Avenue.</p><p>The deployment of the security personnel was in response to MMDA&#x27;s request for the elite private school to implement measures to keep vehicles ferrying students from blocking the road.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>LSGH&#x27;S MEASURES TO HELP MINIMIZE TRAFFIC</strong></div><p>In a letter to the MMDA, La Salle Green Hills president Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC said the school has also adjusted traffic flow within campus and Greenhills East Village to minimize vehicle build up on Ortigas Avenue.</p><p>LSGH has also designated more drop-off and pick-up areas and has staggered its class schedules to help prevent congestion.</p><p>It said it has also increased the number of accredited school buses and has encouraged carpooling.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/8/20/mmda-eyes-drastic-measures-to-address-greenhills-traffic-1924"><strong>MMDA eyes &#x27;drastic&#x27; measures to address Greenhills traffic</strong></a></div><p>&quot;LSGH is exploring point-to-point transport services for students and personnel,&quot; the school also said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>NCAP VIOLATIONS FOR BLOCKING ROAD</strong></div><p>The MMDA said Friday that it had also deployed traffic enforcers and put up traffic cones on Ortigas Avenue to help manage vehicle volume and flow.</p><p>It has also penalized vehicles through the No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) for occupying up to three lanes on the busy road.</p><p>It said most of the violations were illegal parking, obstruction, and unauthorized loading/unloading, all of which worsen traffic.</p><p>MMDA said it has penalized 1,556 motorists for NCAP violations on Ortigas Avenue between July 11 and August 18.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/9mIS36rsuF8?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
