MANILA — The death toll from the combined impacts of the southwest monsoon or habagat and tropical cyclones Mirasol and Nando has risen to four, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Wednesday.The four reported fatalities include two in Central Luzon, one in Cagayan Valley, and one in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), pending verification.In its latest situational report, the NDRRMC said that eleven injured people and one missing person were being validated.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/9/24/opong-intensifies-forecast-to-hit-luzon-this-weekend-1152">Opong intensifies, to hit Luzon this weekend</a></div>The weather disturbances have affected 156,197 families or 692,707 individuals in 11 regions, namely Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, CAR, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), and National Capital Region (NCR).Of the total, 24,958 individuals were staying in evacuation centers while 14,663 others were taking shelter in other places.Meanwhile, 128 houses were reported damaged.Agricultural losses were estimated at P14.85 million.Assistance worth P10.82 million has been given to affected families.
