Hong Kong issues Signal no. 10; PAGASA lifts remaining wind signals due to Nando

<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1758670369650HK-RAGASA.jpg" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/></div><p>Weather bureau PAGASA has lifted the remaining wind signals in Northern Luzon as Super Typhoon Nando, internationall codename Ragasa, moves over the coastal waters of southern China.</p><p>Although Ragasa is expected to pass south of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Observatory said wind speeds of at least 118 kilometers per hour may be expected, thus upgrading the wind warning to Hurricane Signal No. 10 – the highest in the territory.</p><p>Its bulletin issued before 5 a.m. local time said the warning will remain in force for some time as it bewares the public to be on high alert against destructive winds.</p><div><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAFz86TOfDIfqXIe&amp;cid=ABiS-A9RC2OjwDJB"></script></div><p>Amber rainstorm warning was also issued early Tuesday, with 30 millimeters of hourly rainfall expected to continue.</p><p>At 4 a.m., the super typhoon was located 775 km west of Itbayat, Batanes, outside the Philippine area of responsibility, still packing winds of 185 kph.</p><p>It is forecast to make landfall over southern China Wednesday afternoon or evening as strong typhoon.</p><p>The enhanced southwest monsoon may still bring moderate to heavy rains over Zambales and Occidental Mindoro this Wednesday.</p>
