MANILA &mdash; Intense to torrential downpour that affected Metro Manila and nearby provinces midday Monday dumped almost five days&rsquo; worth of rain, according to PAGASA data.The Science Garden station in Quezon City recorded 28.6 millimeters of rainfall from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 53.4 mm from 12 to 1 p.m., which total to 82 mm.This is comparable to 82 liters of water being poured in one square meter areas across the city in two hours, which is equivalent to almost five days of rain in September.The monthly rainfall in Quezon City in the month of September is 500.3 mm.In an advisory issued at 11:49 a.m., the weather bureau said an intense thunderstorm was affecting the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, Quezon City, Marikina, Pasig, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Manila, and Makati and the town of Pateros in Metro Manila.
