MANILA — Tropical depression Basyang moved over Negros Oriental Friday night. It weakened further after making its fourth landfall over Alcoy, Cebu at 7:50 p.m. Another landfall happened in Ayungon, Negros Oriental at 9 p.m.At 10 p.m. Friday, Basyang was still in the vicinity of Ayungon, packing winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 60 kph. It is moving westward slowly.Wind signal no. 1 is still up in:western Leytewestern Southern LeyteBoholCebuSiquijorNegros OrientalNegros OccidentalGuimarasIloiloCapizAklanAntiqueCuyo and Cagayancillo Islands of PalawanBasyang will traverse the rest of Negros Island, weaken into a low pressure area in the next 12 hours, and head towards southern Panay.Basyang and its eventual remnant low may still bring heavy rainfall in Central and Western Visayas through Saturday evening and in Palawan through Sunday afternoon.Up to intense rains may still be expected over Negros Occidental, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Antique.The shear line will also bring moderate to heavy rains over Quezon and Bicol Region this weekend.Widespread and serious flooding and landslides remain likely in many areas.
