It has maintained its speed of 30 kph while moving westward.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Tropical cyclone wind signal no. 2 is in effect over:</strong></div><p>•    Batanes</p><p>•    Northern Cagayan including Babuyan Islands</p><p>•    Northern Apayao</p><p>•    Northern Ilocos Norte</p><p>Stormy conditions will prevail in these areas today.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Wind signal no. 1 is in effect over:<br/></strong></div><p>•    The rest of Cagayan</p><p>•    Isabela</p><p>•    Nueva Vizcaya</p><p>•    Quirino</p><p>•    Northern and central Aurora</p><p>•    The rest of Apayao</p><p>•    Abra</p><p>•    Kalinga</p><p>•    Mountain Province</p><p>•    Ifugao</p><p>•    Benguet</p><p>•    The rest of Ilocos Norte</p><p>•    Ilocos Sur</p><p>•    La Union</p><p>Strong winds will be experienced in these localities.</p><div><br/></div><p>Kiyapo may pass close to the northeastern part of mainland Cagayan before passing over and possibly make landfall over the Babuyan Islands later in the afternoon through the evening.</p><p>It may intensify further into a severe tropical storm after traversing Babuyan Islands, which may warrant the raising of wind signal no. 3.</p><p>The storm may be out of the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday morning, July 25.</p><p>Kiyapo and the southwest monsoon or Habagat will bring significant rainfall over some parts of the country this Friday and Saturday.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Friday noon to Saturday noon</strong></div><div><u>•    Tropical storm Kiyapo:</u></div><p>o    Heavy to intense rainfall: Batanes, Cagayan, Apayao, Ilocos Norte</p><p>o    Moderate to heavy rainfall: Isabela, Kalinga, Abra, Benguet, Ilocos Sur, La Union</p><div><u>•    Habagat:</u></div><p>o    Moderate to heavy rainfall: Negros Occidental, Guimaras, Iloilo, Antique, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>Saturday noon to Sunday noon</strong></div><div><u>•    Habagat:</u></div><p>o    Moderate to heavy rainfall: Bataan and Occidental Mindoro</p><div><br/></div><p>Scattered rains may also be expected in Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and the rest of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.</p><p>Widespread and serious flooding and landslides may be expected in many areas.</p><p>The public is advised to continue monitoring the weather updates and take the necessary measures to protect life and property.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RsrlgIA0lZU?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
