Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News/File</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — Food packs and evacuation centers in the National Capital Region are already on standby ahead of the expected impact of the southwest monsoon, enhanced by <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2026/7/9/wind-signal-no-2-now-up-in-batanes-as-inday-slightly-weakens-1152">typhoon Inday</a>, Metro Manila Council President and San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said on Thursday.</p><p>Following the Metro Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council meeting on Wednesday, Zamora shared the measures that the local government units (LGUs) were conducting.</p><p>“All LGUs really must already pre-position their assets when it comes to rescue equipment.
