<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1783611136577philippines_band_13 (1).jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>RAMMB/Himawari-9 imagery</div>MANILA —  Tropical cyclone wind signal no. 2 remains hoisted over Batanes, eastern Babuyan Islands and northeastern mainland Cagayan even as Typhoon Inday slightly weakened and decelerated.At 10 p.m., the typhoon was located 740 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan.It packs maximum sustained winds of 155 kilometers per hour with gusts up to 190 kph and is moving north northwestward at 10 kph.Wind signal no. 2 remains hoisted in Batanes, eastern Babuyan Islands, and northeastern mainland Cagayan.On the other hand, signal no. 1 is still up in the following areas:<ul><li>Rest of Babuyan Islands</li><li>Rest of mainland Cagayan</li><li>Isabela</li><li>Northeastern portion of Quirino</li><li>Apayao</li><li>Northern portion of Abra </li><li>Kalinga</li><li>Eastern portion of Mountain Province</li><li>Eastern portion of Ifugao</li><li>Ilocos Norte</li><li>Nnorthern portion of Aurora</li><li>Northern and central portions of Catanduanes</li></ul><div> </div>Inday remains unlikely to make landfall over the Philippine landmass. However, it will pass close to Batanes Friday through early Saturday, when stormy conditions will prevail in the province.It may exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday morning or afternoon.Inday-enhanced Habagat will bring gusty conditions and up to heavy rains in Zamboanga Peninsula, Lanao provinces, Negros, Western Visayas, MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, Central Luzon, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, and Metro Manila through Sunday evening.Heavy to intense rains are likely in Antique, Occidental Mindoro, Bataan, and Zambales during the same period.Widespread and serious flooding and landslides are possible.The public is advised to continue monitoring weather updates and make the necessary preparations.
