It will be called Obet, which has no direct impact on weather but will pull habagat.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2026/8/23/saudel-to-enter-par-as-super-typhoon-on-monday-to-enhance-habagat-later-next-week-1452">READ: &#x27;Saudel&#x27; to enter PAR as super typhoon on Monday, to enhance Habagat later next week</a></div><p>Habagat will affect Luzon through midweek, will be enhanced from Thursday due to Obet and the two new potential systems by weekend.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>WEATHER CONDITIONS </strong></div><p>Monday to Wednesday: scattered rains over Northern and Central Luzon. Warm and humid conditions over the rest of the country, with isolated showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening</p><p>Thursday to Sunday: monsoon rains over Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, Occidental Mindoro, and western sections of Cordillera and CALABARZON -scattered rains over the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region. Hot and dry weather over Mindanao and Metro Manila</p><p>Widespread flooding and landslides may be expected over western Luzon, including Metro Manila, during the habagat enhancement.</p>
