Prakash Mathema, AFP</span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — There are no reported Filipino casualties in the<a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/8/27/search-for-1-000-missing-after-deadly-nepal-tibet-floods-1210"> flash floods and landslides</a> that killed at least 165 and swept away entire villages on the Nepal-Tibet border, Malacanang said Thursday. </p><p>Palace Press Officer Claire Castro cited data from the Department of Foreign Affairs and OWWA Overseas Workers Welfare Administration as of Thursday morning. </p><p>President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was saddened by the tragedy and urged the public to pray for victims, Castro said. </p><p>Rescue teams rushed Thursday to find <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/8/27/search-for-1-000-missing-after-deadly-nepal-tibet-floods-1210">more than 1,000 people missing</a> in the disaster. </p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/world/2026/8/27/the-foreign-tourists-missing-in-nepal-s-flash-floods-0856">The foreign tourists missing in Nepal&#x27;s flash floods </a></div><p>A terrifying clip of surveillance video from the Chinese side of the frontier shows a massive wall of mud and debris crashing over a building several stories high on Wednesday morning, engulfing it as dozens of people ran for their lives below.
