Director Ruel S. Bayani, head of ABS-CBN International Production and Co-Production division, announced on “TV Patrol” tonight (September 28) that Arjo will lead the all-star cast of their upcoming series titled “The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer.”

Muling masasaksihan ng mundo ang husay ng Pilipino sa bagong international na proyekto ng ABS-CBN na may all-star cast sa pangunguna ng 2020 Asian Academy Creative Awards Best Actor na si Arjo Atayde.
Inanunsyo sa “TV Patrol” ngayong gabi (Setyembre 28) ni Direk Ruel S. Bayani, ang head ng ABS-CBN International Production and Co-Production division, na pagbibidahan ni Arjo ang “The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer.”
Hango ang “The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer” sa pelikulang “Sa Aking Mga Kamay” noong 1996 ng Star Cinema tungkol sa isang serial killer na pumapatay sa mga babaeng nagtataksil sa asawa at ginampanan noon ni Aga Muhlach.
Ayon kay Direk Ruel, si Arjo ang nakita nilang ‘best choice’ na bida para sa serye, na kanilang sisimulang i-shoot ngayong taon.
“He has a proven track-record of giving justice to the diverse roles he has portrayed through the years. His depth and range as an actor will definitely give a fresh take on this 1996 classic,” aniya.
“First of all, ABS-CBN never fails to surprise me all the time with all these characters. It's one hell of a story. It's one hell of a character, and it's not normally done here. This is one of the most powerful stories that they're gonna remake. I am proud to be part of it. Hopefully, the Cattleya Killer could be one if not the possible door to ABS-CBN stepping into the foreign industry,” pagbabahagi naman ni Arjo, na huling nagdala ng karangalan sa bansa sa kanyang pagganap sa critically-acclaimed iWantTFC original series na “Bagman.”
Ang award-winning filmmaker na si Dan Villegas ang magsisilbing direktor ng “The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer.” Katulong niya sa paggawa ng serye ang mga Pilipinong producer ng “Almost Paradise,” ang kauna-unahang U.S. TV series na kinuhanan ng buo sa Pilipinas na proyekto ng ABS-CBN kasama ang Electric Entertainment mula sa Hollywood.
Kasali rin ang “The Rebirth of the Cattleya Killer” sa 2021 Full Circle Series Lab, isang talent development program na pinangungunahan nina Matthieu Darras at Izabela Igel kasama ang Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP). Isa ito sa mga napiling konsepto mula sa buong Southeast Asia.
