FPJ films bring action and thrill on Cinema One this August

Relive the glory of the King of Philippine movies Fernando Poe Jr. as Cinema One brings some of his well-known movies through “FPJ: Hari ng Pinoy Cinema” on all Sundays of August at 11am.

Witness Da King as the hardworking Alfredo in “Sigaw ng Katarungan” (Aug. 6), heroic Lawin in “Ang Alamat ng Lawin” (Aug. 13), the legendary Panday in “Ang Panday” (Aug. 20), and an assassin named Emong in “Ang Padrino” (Aug. 27).

There will also be a rollercoaster of emotions with the queens of Philippine drama this month. Catch Sharon Cuneta’s “Madrasta” (Aug. 7), Maricel Soriano’s “Separada” (Aug. 14), Dina Bonnevie’s “Hindi Nahahati ang Langit” (Aug. 21), and Lorna Tolentino’s “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin” (Aug. 28), which airs on Monday Drama block at 9pm.

Meanwhile, Cinema One brings a special treat for all DongYan fans with back-to-back films from the power couple. Be captivated by Dingdong Dantes’ versatility in “One More Try” (Aug. 1), “Segunda Mano” (Aug. 2), “Bahay ni Lola 2” (Aug. 3), “The Unmarried Wife” (Aug. 4), and “Seven Sundays” (Aug. 5) which airs from Tuesday to Saturday, 7pm. Fill your hearts with the best of Marian Rivera in “Bahay Kubo” (Aug. 7), “Pamahiin” (Aug. 8), “Shake, Rattle, & Roll X” (Aug. 9), “Kung Fu Divas” (Aug. 10), and “Tarot” (Aug. 11), airing from Monday to Friday at 7pm.
