Vilmark Drops Emotional Single “INOWY”

Aspiring singer-songwriter Vilmark recently released his latest single, “INOWY (I’m Not Okay Without You)” across major digital platforms worldwide. The soul-stirring track is a powerful ballad about dealing with loss and finding the strength to move forward.

A song that serves as a sequel of sorts to his previous release “Lisan,” "INOWY" is a deeply personal song for Vilmark, who wrote it as a way to cope with the death of his father in 2022.

“This song is about sharing with people that it’s okay not to be okay. Because it’s a phase that you need to go through to move forward and start anew. Until you accept the reality that you’re not okay, you’ll keep masking your true feelings. I wrote this song from a place of pain, but I hope it can bring comfort and hope to others who are going through tough times. It’s okay not to be okay, but it’s important to remember that we are not alone,” shares Vilmark.

One Music PH asked Vilmark about his best memories about his father. He said, "Sobrang dami kong memorable experiences with my father kasi sobrang close ako sa kanya. Nami-miss ko na yung time na kapag wala akong tulog siya ang maghahatid-sundo sa ‘kin sa mga tapings and recordings, even sa work. May mga times na yun na din ang bonding time namin ni Papa. Mga ganung lakad sabay na din kaming kumakain, mga simple gestures niya na pagluluto dahil ‘pag puyat ako, paggising ko may note sa upuan ko na may mga bilin siya gaya ng iniwan niyang food na pinrepare para sa ‘kin. Yung mga little things ang nami-miss ko kay Papa.”

He added on a follow-up question, “In a way masakit na nakagawa ako ng kanta dahil nawala siya. But I know na masaya and proud siya kasi siya ang number one fan ko. Mas una pa siyang nagshe-share ng news about sa ‘kin sa Facebook niya. Mas una pa siyang nagshe-share ng YouTube videos ko. Mas una pa siya sa mga balita tungkol sa ‘kin. I hope Papa is proud and smiling right now with whatever ang nararating ko sa career ko, kasi sila ni Mama ang nauunang sumusuporta sa ‘kin.

Vilmark’s aforementioned previous release “Lisan” was also selected by Jennylyn Mercado for her latest TV series Love. Die. Repeat. with Xian Lim. Vilmark expressed his gratitude for the unexpected opportunity, “I was so excited. I watched Ms. Jennylyn sing the song on All Out Sundays. She told me that it was a beautiful song and was perfect for the series.”

Both songs have pristine, eclectic and distinct pop musical arrangements that puts emphasis on clarity while Vilmark's own lyricism is on point.

Despite working as a full-time engineer on a night shift, Vilmark continues to balance his professional life with his passion for music. The artist looks forward to the future, expressing the desire to release more singles, work towards a full album, and dreams of having his own concert. Vilmark’s dream collaboration is with the Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose, and he hopes to write a duet with her.
