No one heard any commotion.Estrada’s husband, Gerald Acquintey, was the first person to see her body and called 911. Her face was badly beaten. “I was very shocked and very sad. Wala akong masabi dahil napakabait niya kaya lahat ng mga kaibigan niya ay shocked sila, dahil mabait siya. Mahirap accept na binawian siya ng buhay ng isang criminal na tao,” said her uncle, Al Corpuz.Estrada was laid to rest in Toronto over the weekend. Her immediate family members are all in Canada. She left behind 2 brothers and a sister.Estrada and her family migrated in Toronto in the 80s and opened “Atin Ito,” a once popular Filipino restaurant in the city. Estrada’s husband has requested privacy.But friends and relatives shared sentiments on what happened to their loved one.“Si Dherie at Gerald I know them for a long time, almost 20 years. Nagliligawan pa sila palagi akong kasama ni Gerald. We go camping, we hang out, wala silang kaaway,” said their friend, Roger Aguada.The family hopes authorities will speed up their investigation to determine the reason behind her death.Read more on <a href="https://balitangamerica.tv/">Balitang America:</a>
