Brx and Noimie share their playlists, culinary adventures, and biggest splurges

When it comes to their kitchen expertise, Noimie’s first recipe was adobong manok. But her version is made more special with eggs. We know Brx as the resident “Seamanluluto” or chef of the PBB house, thanks to his background as a chief cook on a ship. But his debut dish was roasted chicken with mustard. This recipe became a staple during his earliest seaman days, where it was a favorite among the crew.

What’s the first song on their playlist? For Noimie, it’s “Magasin” by Eraserheads, along with tracks by SunKissed Lola. Brx likes listening to “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers because it gives him good vibes and has been his favorite since college. His friends even call him Mr. Brightside!

As for their first big purchase with their salary, Noimie splurged on a DSLR camera, at the time when she was into photography as a hobby. Brx, on the other hand, bought a laptop when he first joined the ship, and that laptop became a companion on his journey.

Who first inspired them to become a better person? For Noimie, it’s her sister Jovie, who showed her how to look fabulous. Joking aside, Noimie truly admires her sibling’s kindness. For Brx, it’s his mom who taught him to stay positive and find joy in life. He’s deeply grateful for all his parents’ guidance.

As for their first international trip, Noimie’s was to Brunei with her then-boyfriend, now husband. Brx’s first overseas destination was Korea, which he visited during his early days as a seaman.
