Sumadsad ang 2 barko sa pier ng Batangas ngayong Huwebes dahil sa malalakas na alon at hangin na dala ni Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.Ayon kay Batangas port manager Joselito Sinocruz, ang unang barko ay isang domestic cargo vessel na nalagutan ng angkla habang nasa pantalan ng Batangas.Hinahanap pa ang kapitan ng barko.“Parang walang kapitan kaya pumalo ng pumalo diyan sa pier,” aniya sa panayam sa TeleRadyo Serbisyo.Ang pangalawang barko ay isang foreign fuel tanker na una nang nahuli ng Customs.Ayon kay Sinocruz, kahit walang bagyo ay ipinagbawal na ang fuel tanker sa Batangas port dahil sa dala nitong dangerous goods.Napinsala na ang port dahil sa hampas ng fuel tanker.“Pag pumasok kayo ng port ng Batangas, amoy fuel na po. Sana nga pô ay sana kaunti lang, sana maisalba pa,” aniya.Binabantayan na din ng mga opisyal ang posibleng pagtama ng barko sa passenger terminal building sa pantalan. “Lumampas na ng rampa ‘yung ating level ng tubig, Umabot ng hagdan ng passenger terminal,” aniya.Mahigit 200 pasahero ang stranded sa Batangas port dahil sa masamang panahong dala ni Bagyong Kristine.
