Luis Raymund “LRay” Villafuerte Jr. belied claims that he and his son Camarines Sur Governor Luigi, were in Siargao as severe tropical storm Kristine battered their region on Wednesday. </p><p>He said airline records would show that they returned to CamSur from Siargao last Monday. </p><p>“Nakita naman ng tao as early as Tuesday, Wednesday, nag-iikot po tayo dito. Hindi lang tayo nagpo-post. So ano lang ‘yan, total lie, it&#x27;s not true. Kung mapatunay nila ‘yan, mag-resign po ang buong pamilya namin,” Villafuerte said. </p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/regions/2024/10/24/camarines-sur-hardest-hit-by-widespread-flooding-in-bicol-disaster-official-1040" id="isPasted">Camarines Sur hardest hit by widespread flooding in Bicol </a></div><p>The elder Villafuerte also defended his son, Camarines Sur 5th District Representative Miguel Luis, from netizens criticizing his photo showing him handing out cash to flood victims instead of relief goods.</p><p>“Ako namimigay din ako P500, P1000. Walang masama roon. Bakit? Kasi hindi naman po p&#x27;wedeng bigyan ‘yung flooded area ng relief, kasi hindi p&#x27;wedeng mabigyan ng sasakyan. So bumibisita kami, and the best thing we can do is give them cash for now. There is nothing wrong with that. Totoo namimigay kami. Wala namang masama,” Villafuerte said.</p><p>“Nag-uumpisa na po ang relief province-wide sa mga areas na hindi na po baha,” he added.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/regions/2024/10/23/2-dead-at-least-300-barangays-flooded-in-camarines-sur-2227" id="isPasted">2 dead, at least 300 barangays flooded in Camarines Sur </a></div><p>“Siguro, magtulungan na lang at huwag na magsisihan.
