The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council later recommended placing the 2 districts of Quezon province under a state of calamity. </p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tA-csWCWNdc?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><p>Placed under a state of calamity are the following areas:</p><p><strong>1st District: </strong>Tayabas City, Pagbilao, Lucban, Sampaloc, Mauban, Real, Infanta, General Dakar, Polillo, Panukulan, Burdeos, Patnanungan, Jomalig</p><p><strong>2nd District: </strong>Lucena City, Candelaria, Dolores, San Antonio, Sariaya, Tiaong</p><p>Authorities said several municipalities bore the brunt of the typhoon after Aghon shifted track and made its ninth landfall in Patnanungan.</p><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:900px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/171685590433820240527-aghon-mauban-fishermen-JC6148.jpg" style="width:900px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Fishermen from Sitio Malasur, Barangay San Lorenzo, Mauban, Quezon, recover parts of their damaged boats after big waves brought by typhoon Aghon left a path of destruction in the community on May 27, 2024. <em>Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span></div><p>As of Monday, May 27, the Quezon PDRRMO has listed 3,638 families or over 15,000 individuals affected by Aghon.</p><p>The typhoon destroyed 27 houses and partially damaged another 400 homes in 156 affected barangays.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8Ek1Ll5SYeQ?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></div>
