DAVAO CITY — The National Bureau of Investigation in the Southeastern Mindanao region (SEMRO) on Friday afternoon again served warrants of arrest for Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy and his co-accused.

The NBI SEMRO team entered the KOJC compound on Carlos P. Garcia Highway in Davao City at 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. to serve the warrants of arrest for child abuse, sexual abuse, and qualified human trafficking issued by courts in Davao City and in Pasig, lawyer Archie Albao, NBI SEMRO director,  confirmed to ABS-CBN News.

Albao said they received information that Quiboloy is reportedly just inside the KOJC compound. NBI personnel did not find the controversial pastor inside.

Albao said they entered the compound, some offices, and quarters inside the compound.

KOJC lawyers received the warrants of arrest that NBI SEMRO personnel brought.

Albao said there was no resistance from the members of KOJC when they served the warrants, unlike what happened on June 10, when the Philippine National Police conducted a similar operation.

The PNP earlier said that Quiboloy is believed to be hiding inside the compound.

Last month, one of the co-accused Paulene Canada was arrested in a house in Davao City.
