<p>Kingdom of Jesus Christ leader Apollo Quiboloy was hiding inside the ACQ building, also known as the Bible School Building, inside the KoJC compound in Buhangin, Davao City before he <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/8/apollo-quiboloy-has-been-arrested-dilg-1827">surrendered</a> on Sunday afternoon.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/8/kojc-lawyer-explains-why-pastor-quiboloy-surrendered-654">KOJC lawyer explains why Pastor Quiboloy surrendered</a></div><p>A source said Quiboloy was first sighted in the said building on Friday, September 6, the 14th day that police had been searching for the televangelist inside the religious group&#x27;s 30-hectare compound.</p><p>This was the same building pointed out earlier by Police Regional Office XI director Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III wherein they found the supposed room of Quiboloy and rooms of the female pastorals.</p><p>Torre said during their first inspection of the building, only female cops were allowed and they were prevented from entering some areas. Members of the religious group did not resist but only continued with their praise and worship.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/T2_il1eKzkQ?&amp;t=27s&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div><div><strong>KOJC MEMBERS DID NOT KNOW ABOUT QUIBOLOY SURRENDER</strong></div><p>Quiboloy, along with his co-accused Jackielyn Roy, Ingrid Canada, Cresente Canada, and Sylvia Cemañes, later surrendered to authorities, according to the PNP. They are facing charges of human trafficking and child abuse in two separate courts in Metro Manila. </p><p>PNP Spokesperson P/Col. Jean Fajardo said <span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">negotiations for Quiboloy&#x27;s peaceful surrender began at around 1:30 p.m., following a 24-hour ultimatum given to them.</span></p><div><span id="isPasted">Sources said that before the surrender, Torre had ordered PNP personnel inside the compound to clear Quiboloy&#x27;s private hangar, which is connected to the airport. </span></div><p>At around 5:45 p.m., a convoy of 9 vehicles was seen leaving the hangar to the Tactical Operations Group XI at the old airport. Quiboloy was believed to be one of the passengers in the convoy.</p><p>KoJC members allegedly did not know about Quiboloy leaving the compound as the religious service was ongoing.</p><p>The PNP spokesperson said PNP took custody of Quiboloy and his co-accused around 5:30 p.m. and subsequently flew them from Davao to Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.</p><p>The surrender of the fugitive televangelist came on the 16th day of the PNP&#x27;s implementation of arrest warrant inside the 30-hectare compound.</p><p>&quot;It&#x27;s a relief. Malaking relief. Matulog muna ako, bawi muna tayo ng tulog,&quot; Torre told the media minutes after Quiboloy&#x27;s surrender.</p><p>Torre extended his gratitude to the thousands of police officers from Civil Disturbance Management to the searching teams and arresting teams who have dedicated their time and effort to the arrest of Quiboloy.</p><p>&quot;Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa ating kapulisan sa inyong sama-samang tulong sa misyong ito. I do hope na kapit lang. Thank you very much at marami pa tayong trabaho sa future na gagawin,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;I would like to also thank our brothers and sisters in KoJC. Pasensya na po kayo, talagang ito ay trabaho lamang. Ako&#x27;y nagpapasalamat din sa inyong kooperasyon at wala tayong seryosong sakitan na irreversible. I do hope na in the future, magkaintindihan na ulit tayo,&quot; he added.</p><p>Meanwhile, the situation at the KoJC compound was normal after the announcement of the authorities regarding the surrender of their leader.</p><p>Some members did not comment anymore when asked by ABS-CBN News about their reaction on Quiboloy who is now in the hands of the authorities</p><p>Some Davaoeños also checked on the situation of KoJC after the announcement.</p><p>&quot;No comment. Hindi namin alam ang totoo. Sa loob na lang kayo magtanong,&quot; a teacher of Jose Maria College said.</p><p>Police force assigned to guard the compound immediately left after knowing the situation.</p><p>&quot;Masaya, kasi sa lahat ng pagod at hirap namin dito, at last nahuli na.
