Daniela Stranner, although still a newcomer, is making waves as Zyra “Z” Aguero in the hit Kapamilya series “Senior High,” thanks to her sensitive yet illuminating portrayal of the multifaceted character.

With her potential, her dream as a thespian is just within reach. But it will also require the right motivation. In this edition of “It’s Me, High,” it’s Daniela’s turn to share the things that motivate her to be the best she can be and inspire her to be happy.

Complementing her love for acting, the Kapamilya beauty says she’s emotionally high whenever she’s alone standing in front of the mirror. Meanwhile, she’s insanely high when at work, “’Cause I want to show everyone what I can do.”

One way she keeps herself in good mood is by spending time with friends, as they make her actively high. Being around dogs is also one way for her to become naturally high.

She’s highly impressed by people who are true to themselves, ‘Yung hindi nagsu-sugarcoat or anything.” But she doesn’t like people who think highly of themselves.

In the cutthroat world of showbiz, only those with stamina to keep going will be rewarded. That’s why Daniela has to learn how to keep herself motivated through little ways such as by window shopping, “Tinitingnan ko ‘yung mga bags na gusto ko. Tapos, parang, ‘Work hard ka pa para mabili mo ‘yan.’ Lagi akong nagtatanong sa family ko ng, ‘What do you, guys, want? Ano’ng dream n’yo?’”

Being in the spotlight means she’s pressured to always be her best, but Daniela isn’t one to succumb to pressure. The truth is she embraces it, “Pressure helps me with work lalo na sa pag-arte. It really helps me a lot. I can work under pressure, so I just go with the flow. Ninanamnam ko ‘yung pressure talaga.”

Not minding other people’s expectations, she’s only focused on her goals for her career, “I want to be known as a good actor. It’s not just about money. It's about showing my skills and what I can do to everyone and inspire everyone who supports me.”

And like hitting two birds with one stone, making it big as an actress also means achieving her dream for her family, “I just want to make my parents proud, my family proud. ‘Yung family ko, they’re not materialistic. Happy na sila to see me succeed, so that’s what I want.”
