Akin to how he embodies different roles, you will see Baron Geisler in a different light after watching this video, one that reveals his life and activities outside showbiz. Delve into the other side of him as he answers fun questions about himself in this edition of High Profile.

Baron, or Baron Frederick Von Geisler in real life, was born on June 5, 1982, making him a Gemini. They say that Geminis have split personality, “doble kara” as he puts it. But he believes that they are actually “sensitive, compassionate, passionate, and lovable.”

We fondly remember him as a kiddie comedian on “Ang TV,” which was a significant part of his childhood, specifically the moment when the show came to the Nepo Coliseum in Angeles City to call for an audition. “I saw everyone, how the fans go crazy sa mga young stars, for example, sina Patrick Garcia, Cheska Garcia. Sabi ko, ‘I wanna be like them.’”

Flexible – this not only describes his quality as an actor who can deliver high-quality performance whatever genre or role he’s tasked with, but it also literally describes him as a sports guy. He used to train for gymnastics when he was younger. He also competed in Taekwondo events as a black belter. At the moment, he’s trying out new martial arts, specifically Filipino techniques like arnis

A stark contrast to his often dark on-screen personas, Baron enjoys tranquillity in real life, which is why his favorite color is blue. “It calms me.”

But somehow still keeping his tough guy persona, he says he likes spicy food. He likes to put cayenne pepper in almost any dish. When it comes to Filipino cuisine, nothing beats sinigang for him; in the same way that he thinks rocky road is the best ice cream flavor.

Of all the places he’s visited, Amsterdam and Holland in the Netherlands are his top favorites because of the weather and fresh produce.

Asked the quality he looks for in a friend, he replied, “Truthful. I want a friend who doesn’t sugar-coat things.” Meanwhile, “a good listener and obedient” is how he was as a student.

Baron is all these, plus a father, and a very good one at that. “I believe that my children, they’re their own person. Alam naman nila kung ano ang tama sa mali. So far, God is good. They hang out with the right kids, decent kids.”

Then again, it’s time to portray another villainous character. Catch him in “Senior High” where he plays the corrupt police officer Harry Aguerro. It airs weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
