He apparently tried to recruit Napa as a consultant, but was turned down due to Napa&#x27;s differences with the school administration.Tan, who coached Lyceum of the Philippines University from 2003 to 2014, takes over a promising Letran team that features Rookie of the Year Larry Muyang, as well as Jeo Ambohot, Christian Fajarito, and Bonbon Batiller. The Knights made the Final 4 last year, losing to Lyceum.Meanwhile, Vergel Meneses confirmed to <a href="https://sports.abs-cbn.com/ncaa/news/2019/01/22/coach-vergel-s-nine-year-tenure-jru-comes-close-52451">ABS-CBN Sports</a> that he will be stepping down from his post as head coach of Jose Rizal University (JRU).Meneses has coached the Heavy Bombers for the past nine years, but plans to focus on his political career now.
