He also led the Philippines to a bronze medal in the 1954 FIBA World Championships, where he was part of the tournament&#x27;s Mythical Five.</p><p>He also starred for San Beda in the early 1950s.</p><p>Loyzaga received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) in 2014.</p>
