Kai Sotto has been selected to participate in the sixth annual NBA-FIBA Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Global Camp.

Sotto is one of 64 boys and girls from 34 countries and regions who will travel to Chicago for the camp Friday to Sunday, February 14 to 16, at Quest Multisport as part of NBA All-Star 2020.

Sotto, currently training in Atlanta's The Skills Factory, is the second Filipino player to be invited to the camp after AJ Edu back in 2018.

The 7-foot-2 former Ateneo juniors standout has already received a scholarship offer from University of Georgia.

Players and coaches will lead the participants through a variety of activities on and off the court, including movement efficiency, skills development stations, shooting and skills competitions, 5-on-5 games, and life skills seminars focusing on health, leadership and communication.

The camp’s last day will feature a single-elimination tournament culminating with the boys and girls championship games.

Basketball Without Borders, the NBA and FIBA’s global development and community outreach program, has reached more than 3,600 participants from 133 countries and territories since 2001, with 69 former campers drafted into the NBA or signed as free agents.
