Josh Albelda, <a href="https://sports.abs-cbn.com/ncaa/volleyball/photos">ABS-CBN Sports</a></figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATED) For the second consecutive year, the Arellano University Lady Chiefs proved to be the best team in the NCAA women&#x27;s volleyball scene.The Lady Chiefs displayed their entire arsenal in Game 2 of the Season 93 finals as they overcame the San Beda University Lady Red Spikers, 25-13, 29-27, 25-15, to secure a second consecutive women&#x27;s volleyball championship.The triumph came in front of a mostly pro-Arellano crowd at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Monday afternoon, and gave the Lady Chiefs a two-game sweep of the best-of-three finals. She scored 14 points to go with 12 digs, and was named finals MVP. But Arellano clawed its way back, thanks to Arocha and Prado, while the Lady Red Spikers began to succumb to their own errors.Still, it was San Beda that reached set point first, 24-23, after Arellano setter Rhea Ramirez was called for a net violation. Unfortunately for the Lady Red Spikers, they squandered the advantage immediately when Trisha Paras sent her serve long.Nieza Viray&#x27;s hammer off a combination play gave San Beda its second set point, 25-24, only for Prado to immediately knot the count again with a powerful swing that caught the Lady Red Spikers off guard. A superb crosscourt attack gave San Beda the lead anew, 26-25, but Arocha answered with her own version of a crosscourt attack for the tie.San Beda got a break – and its fourth set point – when Rookie of the Year Necole Ebuen&#x27;s serve went straight to the net to make it 27-26 for the Lady Red Spikers. But once again, they could not finish it off: Satrriani Esperitu sent her serve way long, and Arocha came up with back-to-back kills to seal the deal for Arellano.&quot;Gustong-gusto po talaga namin,&quot; said Arocha. &quot;Bawat isa sa amin, sobrang gutom kami sa points.&quot;Now brimming with confidence after their come-from-behind win, the Lady Chiefs surged to an 8-0 lead in the third frame and never looked back. They led, 19-5, against the clearly rattled Lady Red Spikers, and while a late run by San Beda made the final score more respectable, Arellano simply had too much firepower for them to counter.&quot;Parang noong first five points pa lang, nararamdaman na po namin na sa amin na po (ang laro),&quot; Arocha said.Arellano overwhelmed San Beda with its offensive output, as the Lady Chiefs registered 42 attacks in the game. In contrast, San Beda managed only 27 kills.Cesca Racraquin was the lone double-digit scorer for San Beda with 11 points; she also had 14 excellent receptions.Unlike in Game 1, when they managed to drag the Lady Chiefs to a five-setter, the Lady Red Spikers simply had no answers this time around. Nevertheless, it was still a season to remember for San Beda, as this was their best campaign ever in NCAA women&#x27;s volleyball.
