Richard Esguerra, ABS-CBN Sports</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines – Far Eastern University (FEU) ruled the inaugural edition of the UAAP 3x3 basketball tournament after defeating University of the East (UE), 21-13, at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on Sunday.Wendel Comboy led the Tamaraws with 11 points, while Richard Escoto added five – including the putback at the 2:04 mark that served as the championship clincher.Also composed of Kenneth Tuffin and Michael John Casiño, FEU raced to a 10-3 lead and never looked back to rule the league&#x27;s demonstration event, held for the first time this Season 80.The Red Warriors, starring Alvin Pasaol, Philip Manalang, Mark Maloles and Jason Varilla, tried to keep it close but to no avail.The Tamaraws earlier defeated De La Salle University, 15-12, to make it to the Finals. Comboy scored six points in the win.In the Final 4, UE beat National University (NU), 19-16, with Pasaol dropping 17 points, outscoring the entire Bulldogs team.UE and La Salle became the Group A semifinalists after finishing with identical 2-1 records in the eliminations.The Red Warriors edged Adamson University, 18-16, and bounced back from a 11-13 loss to the Green Archers with a 19-17 victory over the Ateneo de Manila University.La Salle nipped the Eagles, 10-9, and UE, 13-11, to advance before dropping a 9-11 decision to Adamson in their no-bearing match.In Group B, NU and FEU made it to the semis despite a three-way tie with University of the Philippines (UP) at 1-1.
