NBA: Warriors have won 12 in a row since Klay Thompson signed a bread toaster

It was a bizarre sight at the time, true, but who would have thought the signing of an electric appliance would set off an even stranger series of events.

Since Klay Thompson autographed on March 14 a bread toaster owned by a certain Imgur user who goes by the handle "RDollaz" and whose story trended high on Reddit, the Golden State Warriors have been on a tear.

They've won 12 straight, including a 121-107 demolition of the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday (Wednesday, Manila time) and victories against Western powerhouses San Antonio and Houston.

What's more noteworthy is this streak is happening without Kevin Durant, whose return this weekend would increase the Warriors' chances of sweeping the rest of their games.

So has RDollaz been a legit lucky charm for Golden State, a millennial version of some Celtic-type leprechaun? Perhaps.

The race for the overall No. 1 seed is still up in the air.

Golden State is currently at 64-14 and San Antonio 60-17 after Tuesday's games. For the Warriors to take the top seed outright, they need to either get to 66 wins or hope the Spurs pick up 19 losses.

And in the Toaster Era, it would be unwise to bet against Klay and co.
