Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News.</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA (UPDATED) – The De La Salle Lady Spikers are heading to the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball finals for the second year in a row.The top-seeded Lady Spikers showed the exit door to their second-round tormentors Tigresses during their Final Four match up, 26-24, 25-22, 20-25, 25-19 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday. La Salle, who avenged its only loss of the season at the hands of Eya Laure and co., awaits the winner between the defending champions NU Lady Bulldogs and Adamson Lady Falcons in the best-of-3 title series.&quot;Happy dahil yun nga, na-redeem namin yung pagkatalo namin nung second round. So, eto, nasa finals na. Pero hindi pa tapos ito, mahaba pa. Kaya kailangan pa namin magtraining, mag-improve pa and hanapin pa yung mga pagkukulang namin. So anyway, masaya naman na nanalo,&quot; assistant coach Noel Orcullo said. Super rookie Angel Canino steered the Lady Spikers in front of a crowd of 6,694 fans with 19 points while Jolina dela Cruz added 10 markers. Libero Justine Jazareno also shone, with 22 digs and 16 receptions to earn the Best Player of the Game nod.After dropping the third set, La Salle stepped on the gas pedal for a 14-8 separation in Set 4. Eya Laure would try to lift UST back in the game with three straight points apart from a net touch of the Lady Spikers, 11-14. But La Salle did not waste the chance to pull away for good as Canino hammered a down the line kill for a 20-13 cushion.Milena Alessandrini went for another attack that will trim their deficit to 19-23 until Alleiah Malaluan unleashed a down-the-line spike followed by a rejection by Thea Gagate to the Fil-Italian spiker. Laure had 15 points while Imee Hernandez contributed 12 in their last game of the season. UST finished fourth in the league for the second straight year. After being down 3-6 in the third frame, UST slowly climbed back with Laure leading the charge. They eventually built a 17-8 lead as setter Cassie Carballo won a joust before Alessandrini caught the baseline off a spike. The no. 1 team threatened to come back in the set with a 10-3 run capped by back-to-back errors of UST, 20-22.
