Naredo, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee on Thursday unveiled the initial list of sports that will be included in the 2019 SEA Games, to be hosted by the Philippines from November 30 to December 10, 2019.Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Ricky Vargas, together with Organizing Committee executive director Ramon &quot;Tats&quot; Suzara, announced that 30 sports have been submitted for inclusion in the SEA Games, with final approval to come from the SEA Games Federation.The approved sports are the following:<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/sports/05/17/sports.jpg?ext=.jpg"/></figure></div>Additional sports may still be added to the list, upon the suggestions of the different Southeast Asian countries. These suggestions, however, should be made before June 13, 2018.Suzara also announced that the SEA Games mascot, logo, and slogan will be revealed in July, with a major launch to be held in Clark, Visayas, and Mindanao in an effort to boost public awareness and support for the event.Clark will also serve as the main hub of the SEA Games, particularly the Sports City that is currently being built in Capas, Tarlac. Subic serves as the secondary hub, and Metro Manila the third and final hub.Mandatory sports – aquatics and athletics – will be hosted in Clark, along with martial arts, baseball, softball, and archery. Subic will be the site of triathlon, duathlon, sailing, and windsurfing among other sports.Basketball will be played at the Mall of Asia Arena and Cuneta Astrodome, while volleyball games will be held at the Araneta Coliseum. The SMX Convention Center will host boxing, gymnastics, and muay thai, while football is expected to be played at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://sports.abs-cbn.com/seagames/news/2018/05/15/vargas-lead-two-day-sea-games-federation-meeting-41626">READ: POC prexy Vargas to lead two-day SEA Games Federation meeting</a></li></ul>&quot;The construction (in Clark) should be finished by July next year,&quot; Suzara said in a press conference on Thursday. &quot;Test events will be held in August and September, not only for sports. We will also have simulations for all departments – the athletes&#x27; village, catering, transportation.&quot;&quot;They already started. The only problem that the contractor is facing is the rain but they are on time,&quot; he also said.The country is expected to welcome over 8,000 athletes and coaches, and over 2,000 technical officials for the 2019 SEA Games, which marks the fourth time that the Philippines will host the biennial event.In 2005, the country&#x27;s last hosting, the Philippines topped the medal table.The one-year countdown to the SEA Games will be held on November 30 in Clark, in what should be a big celebration featuring representatives from all 11 countries participating in the Games. The volunteers program will also be launched there.
