ABS-CBN Sports</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA, Philippines – Creamline stars Alyssa Valdez and Jia Morado will not be allowed to play for the Philippine national volleyball team when they compete in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) Invitational Conference.A source within the team confirmed to ABS-CBN News on Wednesday night that Valdez and Morado will not be allowed to play in the Invitational Conference, as its schedule clashes with Creamline&#x27;s upcoming campaign in the semifinals of the Premier Volleyball League&#x27;s Reinforced Conference.The national team will play as a guest team in the PSL Invitational Conference, which unwraps on June 23 at the Araneta Coliseum.In a letter addressed to Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas Inc. vice-president Peter Cayco last June 18, Creamline management pointed out that the national team&#x27;s schedule in the PSL is from June 28 until July.Creamline, which has already qualified to the semifinals of the PVL Reinforced Conference by topping the elimination round, will resume its campaign in July as well.Thus, Creamline management opted not to allow Valdez and Morado to play in the Invitational Conference, as they will instead focus on the Cool Smashers&#x27; campaign in the semifinals of the Reinforced Conference.Nevertheless, Creamline assured the LVPI that both Valdez and Morado can still practice with the national team on non-game days, as well as after their campaign in the Reinforced Conference. Moreover, Rebisco reiterated its commitment to helping the development of Philippine volleyball, especially after having sponsored the national team in its campaign in the Asian Club Championships in Kazakhstan last year.Valdez and Morado have been <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/06/13/18/alyssa-jia-to-seek-permission-from-creamline-to-join-national-team">regularly attending the national team&#x27;s practices</a>, though they are not participating in drills to rest from various injuries. Last June 13, Valdez told reporters that they still need to get permission from Creamline and Rebisco to participate in national team activities – including practices.It can be recalled that Valdez had missed significant time from Creamline in 2017 due to her duties with the national team. She missed the Cool Smashers&#x27; last three elimination round games in the Open Conference, as well as the entire playoffs due to the build-up to the Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia.Earlier this year, Valdez promised that she will <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/01/03/18/pvl-alyssa-promises-to-focus-on-creamline-in-2018">focus on Creamline</a> and their campaign in the PVL.&quot;Definitely, this 2018, I&#x27;m really gonna focus sa team namin,&quot; Valdez said in an interview with The Score in January.(For more sports coverage, visit the <a href="http://sports.abs-cbn.com/">ABS-CBN Sports website</a>.)
