Handout</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA — The University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) is opening the door for more student-athletes to showcase their talents by adding more sporting disciplines to its calendar.At a press conference on Sunday, season host Ateneo de Manila University announced the addition of 3x3 basketball and few more sports as new sporting events in both the collegiate and high school divisions.&quot;Starting this season, 3x3 basketball will be an official sport. For the high school division, we are adding boys&#x27; and girls&#x27; lawn tennis as demo sports and boys&#x27; and girls&#x27; beach volleyball as medal events,” UAAP president Em Fernandez said.For the past two seasons, 3x3 basketball was a demonstration sport.
