He retained the WBO International featherweight championship with the victory.It was a hard-earned win for Magsayo, who started out strong and peppered his Mexican foe with powerful body shots, only to tire out in the middle rounds as Robles proved to be a tough nut to crack. The Mexican beat the count, however, and showed no ill effects as he tried to put pressure on the young Filipino.In the seventh round, Magsayo sent Robles to the canvas once more, this time with a body shot.
