Finals MVP LA Tenorio has mixed feelings over the retirement of Barangay Ginebra teammate Jayjay Helterbrand.

While he’s happy to see that Helterbrand will be enjoying his retirement, Tenorio said team practices will feel strange without him.

"I'm happy na naging part ako ng career niya, na naging mag-teammate kami dito sa Ginebra," said Tenorio, who played for San Miguel Beer and Alaska before suiting up for Ginebra.

"Masaya ako na naging kaibigan ko siya dito sa Ginebra, kasi magkalaban kami noong pumasok ako sa PBA."

When Tenorio joined Ginebra in 2012, Helterbrand and Mark Caguioa made him feel at home.

"Isa siya sa mga nag-handle (sa akin) when I first came here at Ginebra, sila ni Mark. Sila iyong natuwa nang nalipat ako rito," he said, adding that the mood at Upper Deck Sports Complex where Ginebra trains will be a bit down.

"Malungkot kasi for sure, 100% mag-iiba ang tema ng practice 'pag wala si JayJay," Tenorio said.

"Ang hirap. Parang kulang, parang pilay," he added. "Parang weird ang feeling 'pag si Mark (Caguioa) lang iyong makikita namin."
