That also wound up as his best season as a coach, as the Red Warriors compiled a 9-5 record and just barely missed the Final Four.They would not experience the same level of success again, though Season 80 turned out to be a renaissance of sorts for both Pumaren and the Red Warriors.With star forward Alvin Pasaol torching the UAAP with his high-scoring ways, and Pumaren raising eyebrows with his outfits, the Red Warriors became a team to watch again.Pumaren finished his UE coaching career with a record of 21 wins and 35 losses.
