Photo from Rom Anzures, ABS-CBN News.</div>MANILA — Enthusiasts of padel in the country finally have a bigger platform to showcase their skills and play alongside fellow players from both the local and international scene.The FIP Rise Manila is currently being held in the country, and it is the first International Padel Federation tournament in the Philippines. &quot;It&#x27;s a very historic moment because now our players,&quot; Alenna Dawn, founder and president of the Philippine Padel Association, and founder and CEO of Manila Padel Club told ABS-CBN News.&quot;Our Filipino players and local players that live here in the Philippines are able to be exposed to international players.The tournament, which opened today and will end on November 17, is being held at the Manila Padel Club in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, and it features more than 120 players from 29 different countries. Among those who are in the tilt are 2023 Southeast Asian Game soft tennis women&#x27;s singles silver medalist Bambi Zoleta, as well as standouts Jessica Agra, Jason Tamayo, and Christine Patrimonio.Aside from the intense competition and the cash pool price of Php 780,000 that FIP Rise boasts, Dawn explained that the players&#x27; performance in the tourney will also be recorded as their international ranking. &quot;All the players that will be competing in the tournament will have their international ranking points,&quot; she said. &quot;Some players who will come are players from Spain who have a ranking within the FIP.&quot;Dawn also shared that this will not be a one-time big-time event. &quot;We&#x27;re planning for our 2025 calendar to host FIP tournaments in the Philippines across different padel clubs in the country,&quot; she said. &quot;We also plan to give opportunities for international players to see more of our beautiful country, and also our players to meet other players that are in the Philippines.&quot;<div>RELATED VIDEO:</div><script data-wid="auto" type="text/javascript" src="https://content.viralize.tv/display/?zid=AAEyze-tm4MR6kEa&amp;cid=ABQQzOB2wiZCFBMk&amp;activation=click&amp;vip_mode=playing&amp;vip_position=bottom-right"></script>
