MANILA -- Adamson University pulled off a 3-2 escape act against the University of the Philippines to complete a first round sweep of the UAAP Season 86 softball tournament, Saturday at the UP Baseball Field.

In a game decided on the last play, Adamson's defense allowed them to close out the two-hour, 15-minute battle. Senior Khrisha Cantor fired up the reigning 10-time champion's offense in the seventh inning to help her team gain control.
