PBA: Ginebra sends C-Stand, Pringle to Terrafirma for Holt, Go

MANILA — Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and Terrafirma Dyip engage in a blockbuster trade ahead of the 2024 PBA Rookie Draft.


This, after the league announced the approved deal between the two squads that sends Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle to the Dyip in exchange for Stephen Holt and Isaac Go.

Photo from PBA Images.The 35-year-old C-Stand, who currently sits second to June Mar Fajardo in the Season 48 MVP race, averaged 19.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.4 blocks for the Gin Kings in 34 appearances last season.

Photo from PBA Images.Meanwhile, the 6-foot-4, 32-year-old Holt, is the Season 48 Rookie of the Year frontrunner and averaged 17.0 points*, 6.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists*, and 1.9 steals* in 24 appearances for Terrafirma last year.

Photo from PBA Images.Go was also among the Dyip’s pillars in the 2024 All-Filipino as the 6-foot-7, 28-year-old former Ateneo Blue Eagle delivered 11.7 markers, 7.1 boards, 1.6 dimes, and 1.1 rejections while also displaying his touch from rainbow country as he shot 36.8% in 4.9 attempts per game.


Holt and Go are expected to beef up Ginebra’s roster as they are still dealing with the injuries of Jamie Malonzo and Scottie Thompson.


Also part of the deal are the Season 49 first-round draft picks of both teams.


Ginebra will now pick at No.3 in tomorrow’s draft, while Terrafirma slid down to No.10.
