<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-fil" style="width:900px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/17275087428851716362836028IMG_3967.webp" style="width:900px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-fil"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Levanga’s Dwight Ramos. <em>Photo from Levanga Hokkaido</em></span></span></span></div><p>MANILA – Dwight Ramos is embarking on a bigger role in the upcoming 2024-25 Japan B.League season.</p><p>Ramos, now in his third season with the Levanga Hokkaido, has been given the captain&#x27;s role alongside teammate Ren Shimatani.</p><p>Asked how he was taking on the challenge, the 26-year-old skipper said that it may be a &quot;little bit different load on his shoulders,&quot; but it was just more of keeping everybody together.</p><p>&quot;A little bit. It’s just talking more with the guys, trying to get everybody together, keeping everybody seeing each other during the game,&quot; Ramos said during the 2024-25 B.League Season Tip-off Conference for the Philippines on Thursday.</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/2024/5/22/dwight-ramos-excited-to-come-back-to-levanga-hokkaido-following-extension-1605"><strong>READ: Dwight Ramos ‘excited to come back’ to Levanga Hokkaido following extension<br/></strong></a></div><p>&quot;We’ve been working pretty much every day, working hard, building chemistry, of course. A lot of preseason games and we’re just going to keep getting better,&quot; the 6-foot-4 star added.</p><p>Ramos has nothing but gratitude for the Levanga Hokkaido, which he said made him feel &quot;valued&quot; — one of the reasons why he rejoined the team.</p><p>&quot;I just love it here. The coaches, the staff, GM, everybody — they make me feel valued here and wanted so that’s pretty much all you can ask for, the players, the organization that believes in you,&quot; he said.</p><p>Asked what were the lessons he learned from the past seasons, Ramos said he&#x27;s now used to the tough schedule by the league.</p><p>&quot;For sure, I mean I already know the schedule of the games, it&#x27;s always tough so I figured out how to take care of myself and be ready for the second game which is a big part of the league.&quot;</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/2024/9/28/gilas-stint-prepped-kai-sotto-for-upcoming-b-league-season-1503"><strong>READ: Gilas stint prepped Kai Sotto for upcoming B.League season</strong></a></div><p>In the same interview, Ramos revealed that he is not exactly a fan of local league PBA&#x27;s four-point line which was implemented this season.</p><p>&quot;I saw a couple of games, like the four-point shot was exciting, of course, because you’ll see somebody make a shot from so far.
