I&#x27;m happy to be back to playing again. I&#x27;m just really happy to be back. Excited to play with my teammates again, win games,&quot; he told reporters during the PBA Media Day recently.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/basketball/2025/9/26/pba-meralco-bolts-to-rock-new-jerseys-for-season-50-1953">READ: Meralco Bolts to rock new jerseys for Season 50</a></div><p>After Meralco won the 2024 PBA Philippine Cup, Maliksi said he had a knee injury and underwent a procedure. But not long after his recovery, he also had a nerve impingement in his back that further delayed his return.</p><p>&quot;I&#x27;m just excited makalaro ulit after one year na nag-rerehab ako. It&#x27;s really, parang depressing nung time na injured ako eh. Parang gustong gusto ko maglaro. Wala akong choice kungdi magpalakas, magpagaling,&quot; he said.</p><p>Now that he&#x27;s back and regained full health, Maliksi said he is motivated to help the Bolts win another championship and reclaim All-Filipino glory.</p><p>&quot;Nakaka-excite na makalaro ulit, nakaka-excite na makatulong ako sa team namin in terms of getting another championship for the Meralco Bolts. Yung championship is always our goal,&quot; he said.</p><p>When asked what we can expect from him in his PBA comeback, the 38-year-old player said there will be a few changes in his game.</p><p>&quot;Expectations? Hopefully the same Allein Maliksi like before like last one when we won the championship during All-Filipino. But more efficient,&quot; he said.</p><p>Maliksi admits he still needs some time to adjust on the court, since he only joined training and scrimmages two months ago.</p><p>&quot;Still adjusting to the games, sa training namin, sa system namin maka-adapt ako as soon as possible. Para less mistakes sa system na gusto namin gawin and para maging more efficient ako in terms of offense and defense,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;So yun yung mga adjustment na pinag-aaralan ko para sa game ko especially at this point of my career.
