So kahit lamang ng bente, pipilitin ng teams mag-shoot kasi wala nang battle for eight,&quot; he explained.&quot;Sa quarterfinals laging twice to beat yung one to four,&quot; he added.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/sports/basketball/2025/10/2/pba-four-point-line-is-here-to-stay-says-commissioner-marcial-0930">READ: PBA: Four-point line is here to stay, says Commissioner Marcial</a></div>Marcial said this change will be implemented starting with the 2025 PBA Philippine Cup.According to the Office of the Commissioner, only the results of the games of the teams involved in the tie shall be considered.The quotient will be determined by dividing the total points scored in favor by the total points against.If there are multiple teams tied, those with the superior quotients will take the higher spots in the standings. The team with the inferior quotient will be eliminated.However, if teams are still tied after using the &quot;PBA quotient,&quot; the win-loss record between the tied teams will be reviewed.If there is still a deadlock, up next to break the tie will be the quotient of all games played in the elimination round.The final determination will be the coin toss to decide placings.
