PBA Media</div>MANILA -- Barangay Ginebra erased a first-half deficit then survived a last-ditch rally by Titan Ultra to secure a 108-105 win, Sunday night at the Araneta Coliseum.The victory allowed the Gin Kings (7-4) to clinch the fifth seed in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup and set up a quarterfinal showdown against the Converge FiberXers.Converge, as the fourth seed, will have a twice-to-beat advantage.Stephen Holt led Ginebra with 27 points, while RJ Abarrientos scored 15 of his 24 points in the final quarter to help the Gin Kings complete the come-from-behind win.Ginebra got off to a flat start, which head coach Tim Cone attributed to their ten-hour flight from Bahrain after their win against Rain or Shine on Thursday.&quot;It&#x27;s a really, really, really hard to come off a ten-hour flight from Bahrain and show up here and play a day later. It&#x27;s a chore,&quot; he said.The Giant Risers surged to a 30-19 start and maintained that advantage until the break, with Joshua Munzon and Calvin Abueva leading the charge.But the Gin Kings began to claw their way back in the third period then seized control in the fourth quarter, where they led by as many as 10 points, 92-82. They looked to be on their way to victory after Holt knocked down two charities for a 102-94 lead with just 39 seconds to go.However, Jayson David was called for a flagrant foul on Munzon, who was shooting a four-pointer. Munzon made three of his four free throws, then knocked down a four-point shot in the bonus possession to make it a one-point game, 102-101, with still 28 seconds left.Free throws by Holt and Abarrientos made it 106-101 with under ten seconds to go, but an Abueva four-pointer again put Titan Ultra within striking distance, 106-105.Abarrientos converted two more clutch free throws to peg the final score, and Munzon&#x27;s last-second heave from beyond halfcourt was off the mark as time expired.&quot;Tonight was not our best performance, but hopefully, we&#x27;re saving it for our first game of the playoffs,&quot; said Cone.Squandered in the loss was a 31-point, 8-assists, 6-steal performance from Munzon, as well as Abueva&#x27;s 26-point, 11-rebound effort. With the loss, Titan Ultra wrapped up their first conference in the PBA with a 4-7 slate, good for ninth place and two games behind Meralco for the last spot in the quarterfinals.<div> </div><div>The Scores:</div>GINEBRA 108 – Holt 27, Abarrientos 24, Cu 12, Thompson 11, Rosario 10, Torres 8, J.Aguilar 5, David 4, Estil 4, Gray 3, Abis 0TITAN 105 – Munzon 31, Abueva 26, Dionisio 14, Balanza 9, Flores 8, Pessumal 4, Yu 3, Sangco 3, Melecio 3, Ular 2, Ambohot 2, Ambohot 2, Javillonar 0, Monje 0, Martinez 0QUARTERS: 19-30, 42-55, 73-75, 108-105
