Handout photo</div>MANILA, Philippines – Zamboanga Valientes said Monday that they are in talks with Terrafirma, confirming that they are in the process of acquiring the Dyip&#x27;s franchise in the PBA.Valientes team owner Junnie Navarro said the possible acquisition is a &quot;milestone&quot; for the people of Zamboanga.&quot;Owning a team in the PBA would yet be another milestone for the city and people of Zamboanga. Big things are coming for Zamboanga basketball,&quot; Navarro said.Junnie with his mother, Kings Asia Pacific President Cory Navarro, and Crewsharp CEO Trevor Crewe visited the PBA office to meet with league commissioner Willie Marcial.&quot;Zamboanga Valientes has a proven competitive track record both in the Philippines and the international basketball scene. Owning a franchise in the PBA is the next step towards our goal of showcasing Zamboangueño talent on the big stage,&quot; the elder Navarro added.However, in a report by <a href="https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/family-brand-sardines-revives-bid-to-own-pba-franchise-a793-20250427?ref=article_tag">SPIN.PH</a>, Marcial said the league is also in talks with other groups that wanted the Terrafirma franchise.
