UAAP Media</div>MANILA, Philippines – Far Eastern University standout Veejay Pre was revealed to be in a tough situation as he faces pressure from own family to leave the school.This was according to FEU athletics director Mark Molina, who shared what has been going on with the UAAP Season 87 Rookie of the Year during the collegiate league&#x27;s Valorant tournament at Gateway Mall 2 on Thursday,Molina said Pre wants to stay with the Tamaraws despite persuasion from the family — particularly his father — to depart FEU.&quot;The parents of Veejay, more particularly the father of Veejay, have been telling him to leave. The father has told him, &#x27;don’t play 3×3, magpaalam ka&#x27;,&quot; Molina told reporters after FEU&#x27;s 2-0 win over Adamson in the UAAP Season 87 Esports Valorant tournament.&quot;This was the time wala si coach Sean [Chambers]. Mga first week of March ata &#x27;yon. So Veejay asked me to go to Pampanga and talk to his father because he cannot convince his father anymore, because the father is already telling him, &#x27;you have to leave,&#x27;&quot; Molina went on.&quot;Veejay told us, &#x27;I want to stay in FEU. Friends are here, this is my family, I am very happy here. I am being pressured to leave, please help me,&#x27;&quot; he added.Molina revealed that he, coach Sean Chambers, and program director Denok Miranda have been talking to the Pampanga native about his situation.He said that Pre has been crying to them for help, asserting that the young Tamaraw doesn&#x27;t want to leave the green and gold.&quot;I don’t know in the past month how many times I’ve talked to Veejay, [who was] crying, begging for help,&quot; Molina said.&quot;To me, to coach Sean, to coach Denok, telling us if we can do something so that we can convince his family na huwag siyang paalisin sa FEU. Ano &#x27;to, the last few weeks. And then I told Veejay, &#x27;we are doing our part,&#x27;&quot; he also said.The FEU athletics director vowed that he, Chambers, and Miranda will &quot;do everything in power&quot; to help the basketball standout in his plea.
