<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:960px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1754221450526IMG_7862.jpeg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="The 2023 PBA rookie class after the draft in Taguig City on September 17, 2023.Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">The 2023 PBA rookie class after the draft in Taguig City on September 17, 2023.<em>Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News</em></span></span></span>MANILA — The country’s next batch of basketball stars can start listing their names on Monday for the PBA Season 50 Rookie Draft.</div><p>According to the league, interested players will have all weekdays from August 4 to 29 to submit their documents and become eligible for the annual draft proceedings.</p><p>Aside from the application forms which are available at the PBA Office in Libis, Quezon City, a part of the requirements are 2 pieces of 2x2 ID pictures, an original copy of their PSA birth certificates, and school records if they are 19 years of age.</p><p>Filipino-Foreign players, meanwhile, must present a valid Philippine passport together with two 2x3 ID pictures, school records if they are 19, together with the said application form.</p><p>The PBA emphasizes that all applicants are required to submit their duly notarized application form along with the other requirements.</p><p>Along with the PBA’s 50th anniversary later this year, the league is also in its 40th year since it first institutionalized the draft proceedings in 1985.</p><p>In recent years, Roosevelt Adams, Joshua Munzon, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser, Stephen Holt, and Justine Baltazar were selected as top overall picks.</p><div>Adams, Munzon, and Holt were all selected by the TerraFirma Dyip franchise, BGR went to Blackwater Bossing, while Baltazar was chosen by the Converge FiberXers.<br/><br/><strong>RELATED VIDEO: <span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HqUB-gh7Eac?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong></div>
